STUDENT AWARD

 
 

This award ($400) is presented for the best presentation at the annual conference to acknowledge and support students who undertake the study of wildlife disease.

Candidates must be members of the Australasian Section of the Wildlife Disease Association and are assessed by a panel of four on the basis of

(i) the quality, innovation and impact of the science,
(ii) the quality of visual aids,
(iii) the quality of delivery and style and
(iv) the relevance of the work to management of wildlife and ecosystem health.

 

 
 

2007 AWARD

Ten students were in the running for the 2007 Student Presentation Award at the meeting at Dryandra Woodland, in Western Australia.

Alicia Kasbarian, a BSc Honours student from the School of Natural Sciences, Hawkesbury Campus of the University of Western Sydney was judged the winner with her presentation entitled:

"Developing conceptual frameworks to understand wildlife health in Australia".
